Nursing hiring managers want to know your workload capacity. "6:1 patient ratio on a 40-bed unit" tells them exactly what you can handle. Include shift type (days, nights, rotating) if relevant to the posting.
If you have experience with ventilators, central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, or other specialised procedures, list them explicitly. These are the keywords that differentiate an ICU nurse from a med-surg nurse in ATS screening.
Format: "Jane Doe, RN, BScN" followed by "BCCNM Registration #12345" or "CNO Registration: Active." This must be visible immediately.
"BLS (exp. 2027), ACLS (exp. 2027), PALS (exp. 2026)" — hiring managers need to know your certifications are current.
If you've participated in quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice initiatives, or clinical audits, include them. "Led a fall prevention initiative that reduced unit fall rate by 40%" shows leadership beyond bedside care.
